"A Whole New World!"

Ohweeeee! I’m so excited that I got to play scenes from Aladdin this week. I can barely tell you how happy I am because Jasmine is actually my favorite Disney princess!!!! So without waiting any longer I turned my rooms into not just one, not just two, but three Aladdin scene!!!!! I first put up the market stage, where Jasmine first met Aladdin when she was under cover, trying to run away from her stifling home.

Then I took out the flying carpet and went to the Cave of Wonders in search of the Genie lamp! I know that in the movie it is supposed to be Aladdin that does that, but it was so much fun flying on that carpet, I couldn’t resist!

Finally, I played out Jasmine’s scene in the castle. She was waiting for Aladdin. Looking a little morose. I’m always very convincing when I had to play sulking scene I think. /giggle

Oh but it’s quite difficult to concentrate for that particular scene actually. The genie is very witty. He keeps saying funny things everytime I was about to look forlorn. I ended up giggling so much I had to practice that scene the entire day!

After I’ve practiced all the scenes, I invited Paragon over. He got to play Aladdin, who is pretending to be Prince Ali. But I think he was a little upset with me because I kept using the magic carpet when he wanted to try. Oh my dear Paragon. You’re too hyperactive, I’m afraid you’d fall if you ride it! 

"This time for Africa."

I LOVE the World Cup. I love football in general but when it comes to world cup, I can be quite religious about it. So when Hideeni is giving out flags of participating countries I was so very thrilled! I started collecting tirelessly and changed one of my rooms into a football field to display them. Unfortunately, I missed out on some. But that was alright, Hideeni still think it’s pretty cool that I tried to collect all the flags, he came over to celebrate with me!  

My favorite team for this year was Holland. Because Kelana is from Holland so I was being supportive to him :) And what a coincidence, the first flag that I got from Hideeni was Holland flag. So, as the World Cup started, I put on my red white and blue outfit, the color of Holland flag and posed with the flag above my head.

Too bad Holland did not win the final, but I was still proud that they made it that far and I was a loyal fan anyway. I was very loyal when it came to watching the game I always wanted to put on orange outfit. But the thing was the only orange outfit that I had was my summer swimsuit. I put it on anyway and waved my pompom to show my support.

Kelana and I played a little football ourselves. I was the referee of course because I’m the more responsible one and he’s the difficult player! So difficult, I had to caution him with a yellow card! But apart from that I had so much fun playing football with Kelana. Almost as fun as watching the game itself!

Meet Zakumi!

Meet my new petling leopard! I call him Zakumi, after the South African 2010 World Cup mascot. Zakumi is an adorable little cub and he likes to follow his big brother lion, Mufasa, around.

He was born with that adorable blue eyes but his fur were more dark brownish. So dark you can’t see his spots at all!

But then I fed Zakumi the light brown biscuit and he immediately changed fur color and become twice more adorable!

Zakumi now roams around in the rain forest room with Mufasa. One day, I might even take him to visit Africa! Or… my room version of Africa ^-^

"Once upon an enchanted evening... fairies made wishes come true..."

Around the town where I live in there are plenty of area where I can dig for treasures. So Kelana, all of my friends and me too go to those places from time to time and do a fun treasure hunt. I usually put on my explorer outfit as I dig, to protect me from the element ^-^

Recently a new place for hunting treasure is discovered. The place is called Enchanted Forest. But the place is across the see so to be able to go there I need to ride on a hot air balloon. I sent requests to my friends to help me build it and after several days collecting materials together my hot air balloon was finally ready!

So I headed to the forest immediately and then dig and dig and dig for treasures. I was very happy because the treasures I got there were faery items. I didn’t get to find all the treasures immediately, especially the pixie mask which was VERY difficult for me to locate. But my dear friend Bebekuek sweetly sent me one and then my collection is finally complete!

I turned one of my rooms into a smaller versions of the forest and then dressed up as Enchanted Faery with pink wings and pink mask to match ^-^

"I'm in a tree with a man who talks to monkeys!"

When I knew I got the chance of turning my room into a rain forest I can't stop jumping from happiness!!! Especially as I learned that most of the animals would come from Sumatra! I always love orang utan and now, there are two of them in my room, the mother and her little baby. There are also a Sumatran rhino, with two horns instead of one, and a Sumatran elephant, with small ears.

I also invited a hippo and my petlings, Mufasa the lion and Zakumi the leopard, to join me in the rain forest. Yeah, I know... they're from Africa instead of Asia, but I just thought we can all play pretend anyway ^-^


Do you notice the tarsier? He has such HUGE eyes!!!! And the frog? He jumps now and then and I love watching him do that. 

I of course quickly rushed into my Jane costume and before long Kelana was also there playing Tarzan. I had to wear my leaf sandals but Kelana chose to be bare footed. "Tarzan strong!" he said. Sometimes I think he's a better actor than I am.

"You'll see the magic, believing is where it begins."

I just had the most fun play pretend ever!!!!!! Three of my bestest friends came over today and we all dressed up as our favorite faery. We all love the cartoon series Pixie Hollow by Disney, where it follows the story of a group of faeries living in a place called Pixie Hollow, we thought why don't we become faeries and play pretend together!!!! So we turned one of my rooms into this magical Faery Forest and then play together there as faeries for hours!

I put on my favorite wing and flied high above the forest ground as Butterfly Faery. Koo T'eel doesn't like flying that much so she decided to put on her Flower Faery costum and stayed earthbound. Bebekuek likes being Enchanted Faery the best, so she wore her pink wing today and flapped it proudly. Mbuyi claimed the throne! She said since she's being Tinkerbell, the most famous faery of all time, it was only fair for her to sit on the royal seat! But later as we played, she allowed everyone to take turns sitting on the throne anyway.


I had such a blast playing with my friends. I hope we could play together again sometimes, with different costumes and different themes!!!! 

Meet Paragon!

You've heard about Paragon my boyfriend.  Paragon is light green with two antlers and brown eyes. His teeth are rather bad because he loves anything sugary but he still has the most adorable grin ever. 

Paragon is wearing his favorite outfit here, his kung fu outfit! He's training to become a kung fu master just like his daddy. He's still a long way now but he's very optimistic that he'd be even better than his daddy someday. Paragon is always positive that way.


Paragon is a very sweet boyfriend. He often helped me with my play pretend and my acting practice. But some other times he has too much energy, he runs around and kicks and punches the air, he makes me overwhelmed! But I love him very much still, my bouncy odd ball Paragon.

"I've stolen a garden."

Today I dressed up as Mary Lennox from The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. My mommy read me the story often and I really like the idea of having a garden I can go to to be my sanctuary. Besides, Mary is said to have a sour face. I kinda have a sour face myself so I'm perfect for the role!


That's why I feel very lucky because today I got to finally have my own secret garden. It's actually a new summer garden for my house. But my mommy and I decorated it so that it looks like the secret garden. The overall theme is blue and I even have a swing that is blue! I'm very very happy about it.

My boyfriend Kelana even came over and helped me play pretend. He's sweet that way. He played the role of Colin Craven, Mary's cousin. But he ran around too much. I told him that Colin was supposed to look a little sickly but he just laughed and said, "well, I'm the healthy Colin!" Oh well... I guess the story can be altered just a little bit.

Meet Panacea!

Hi! My name is Panacea. I'm purple with purple eyes and ears of a koala bear. My mommy said that I'm a bit aloof but really that is just because I'm a little awkward when I meet a new someone. I guess I'm quite loner. But when you know me better I can be fun and I'm always a good friend to everyone around me.

I want to be an actor when I grow up and I need to practice a lot so I can be really good at it one day. That is why I love dressing up and playing pretend. I turn my rooms into a full blown stage, put on costume and act my role as best as I can. I could be quite absorb with it sometimes, my mommy said that one time, when I was dressing up as Ariel the Little Mermaid in my underwater grotto, I even wouldn't answer when she called me with my real name!

So I just want to share my practice sessions with you and also my day to day life. They say, to be a good actor, you need to know how to be a good story teller too. So my blog is to learn how to do just that. 


Oh and I should mention that I'm not the kind of pet who always has everything that is in the store. Nor I'm the kind of pet who's very very good at collecting stuff completely. My Hideeni flags collection is missing France and Italy and many other countries!!!!! But I love my life and I still enjoy being a pet regardless.
